Located in Southern Saskatchewan, an hour south of the capital city of Regina, Hillview Horses is owned and operated by Ray Hoffman and Karen Pitzel.The goal of our breeding program has been to breed working horses with colour; horses with the ability and temperament to do anything you need them to do. A look at our horses' s pedigrees will reveal just how much ability is bred into our quarter horses and our paints. Our pedigrees include Doc O Lena, Peppy San Badger, Sonny Dee Bar, Colonel Freckles, Two Eyed Jack, Skipper W, and too many more to mention here.
Our horses graze both natural hill and prairie pastures so they are accustomed to and prepared for a variety of conditions. With ability and temperament bred into them, after running in the natural pastures they are ready for whatever you would ask of them. We have been fortunate to have sold horses to Nova Scotia, Quebec, Texas, Ontario, and Alberta, as well as at home to our neighbours.
Over the years our paint horses have given us blue roan overos, palomino tobianos, grullo overos, black and white overos and tobianos, and our quarter horses have given us buckskins, duns, and some of the truest blue-blacks you will ever see.
